This looks like a plot from a Bollywood movie. A group of robbers carrying guns resisting police & locals.
But this is real and it happened in the forest near Kutasingha village under the Loisinga Police limits of Bolangir district.
After a long & tense stand-off, three members of a robbery gang finally surrendered.
So this is how it all unfolded. A five-member robber gang looted cash and a laptop from a youth near Loisingha and tried to escape. Upon receiving information, a police team swung into action and started chasing the looters.
The robber gang halted in the forest road near Kutasinga and started brandishing gun at the police team. The police personnel and locals then surrounded the robbers. With no other option left, the robbers finally dropped the firearms and surrendered before the cops.
However, two other robbers managed to escape.
